Pre-Baptism Meeting
Parents are asked to to call the office and schedule a meeting with Fr. Manuel  or Deacon Gary Brinkworth or Deacon Dave Waguespack by calling the parish office at 892-1261

For the baptism of an infant, it is necessary that there be a founded hope that the infant will be brought up in the Catholic faith. If such a hope is altogether lacking, the baptism should wait.

Sponsors

To be admitted to the role of sponsor, a person must:

• Be designated as sponsor and have the qualifications and intention of performing this role.
• Be at least 16 years old.
• Be a Catholic who has been confirmed and has already received the sacrament of the Eucharist and leads a life in harmony with the faith and role to be undertaken.
• If married, married in the Catholic Church
• Has to be minimum of one godparent, maximum of two. If it is two godparents, it must be one male and one female.
• Not be the father or mother of the one being baptized.

Note: a baptized person who belongs to a non-Catholic faith community may be admitted as a Christian witness together with a Catholic sponsor.
