ART & ENVIRONMENT
Essential to the proper celebration of the Sacred Liturgy is to maintain an orderly, seasonally appropriate, beautiful, welcoming and sacred environment within the Church. Those working with Art & Environment, with the guidance of the pastor, attend to this need by studying relevant Church documents, engaging in creative planning and executing plans. We are always seeking volunteers who wish to participate. Artistic experience is not necessary, but a willingness and desire to enhance the quality of our worship is always required.

GREETERS
We make signing up for this ministry simple. We use “SignUp Genius” (a free online tool for creating and managing group sign-up lists). You don’t have to create an account. However, when you sign up to greet, you will need to supply your name and email address. This is needed so that the coordinator knows who has signed up and so that a reminder can be sent one week prior toyour sign-up date. With this system, you can sign up for dates whenever you want. If you are a planner and know your schedule for several months out or even the year, feel free to volunteer for the dates that work for you. This is a first come-first served process.

USHERS
Ushers have a special role to play at every parish liturgy. The primary ministry of the ushers is to be of service to everyone in the assembly so that all may celebrate the Sacred Liturgy as the holy people of God who became one in Christ. St. Stephen's ushers primary role is to offer a welcoming presence to those coming to worship, assisting parishioners before, during and after Mass by collecting the offertory gifts, providing a leadership role during emergencies, and participating in cleaning the church when the Mass has ended.
SACRISTANS
The Sacristans work together to take care of the details of preparing behind the scenes for each Liturgy at St. Stephen. They work in the sacristy to set up for Mass, which includes putting out the sacred vessels, organizing the liturgical books and seeing to the proper amount of bread and wine to prepare for the Liturgy. After the Mass, they make sure the sacristy is cleaned up and in good order.
