All Confirmed Catholics are obligated to attend Mass on a weekly basis, and on holy days of obligation, and go to Confession a minimum of once a year.
Our parish offers an Advent Penance Service during the Season of Advent (November or December) and a Lenten Penance Service during the Season of Lent (Spring).
Reconciliation is offered from 4 pm to 4:50 pm every Saturday in the Confessional in the Main Sanctuary in church.
Children shall be prepared for and given the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Penance before their first reception of the Eucharist.
The child’s readiness for the celebration of the sacrament is to be determined by the child, the parent, and the pastor or his delegate.
The child’s readiness for the celebration of the sacrament is to be judged using the criterias such as:
School-age children will usually celebrate Reconciliation during the second grade, if the religious
education of the child is on track. Older children (3rd & above), who have been Baptised, will take classes in the Sacramental Catch Up (SCU) program, coordinated by the Coordinator of Christian Formation Education, but taught by the parent. Visit the Children & Youth Faith Formation page for more information or call Karen at 892-2957.
Adults, who have not been baptised, may receive their sacraments through the RCIA program. Contact the church office at 892-1261 for more information.
